Worried About Money?

Do you fall asleep – and then wake up during the night – worried about your finances?

Millions of Americans live under the burden of financial stress. Too much debt, job loss, medical bills, home and car repairs….. you name it….. affect people every day – and it can be crippling.

At times it feels like there are SO many problems going on that we don’t know where to start.

It’s like asking, how do you eat an elephant? The only way is one bite at a time.

The same applies to our money. It’s easy to do nothing when we’re controlled by fear or anxiety. But, working on one thing at a time, we can – little by little – bring our finances under our control.

Paul told the Philippians, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

If you don’t know where to start, Here you go:   track your spending for a month. Write down every single penny that you are spending. Be honest and thorough.

Then create a budget. The goal is to begin spending less than you earn – even if it’s just a little tiny bit less. That is so you’ll be able to save $1,000. Listen carefully, if you can save $1, you can save $1,000. If you can save $1,000 over time…you can save $10,0000

Each accomplishment will help encourage you to keep going.

Remember to intentionally praise God in all He provides and the lessons you learn.

Romans 15:13  is my prayer for you…, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” And, may you sleep better as a result!
