Who We Are As Stewards

Have you ever given your kids money so they could run an errand for you? It’s a funny concept, but this is how God wants us to think about our money!

You’d probably be kind of upset if your child took the cash you gave them to run to the grocery store, but used it instead to buy a new iPhone app or toy!

But so often that’s exactly what we do as children of God – take the resources He’s given us and use them for our own purposes instead of His.

Being a steward means understanding that we are managers, not owners, of everything God has given us.

When we begin to operate as a steward instead of the owner, we make decisions to seek to please God and not ourselves.  It is how we learn to manage resources for eternal purposes
