What the Bible Says About Generosity

One of my friends used to be a kicker for the NFL. We were talking one time when he said something about giving and generosity that was so profound, it has stuck with me ever since.

My friend said, “we are all generous…none of us have to learn how to be generous. The challenge we face and the choice we must make is if we are going to be generously only to ourselves, or if we are going to be generous towards God.”

Wow! How true!

Giving is an opportunity to trust God and sharing God’s blessings with those that He puts in your life.

Ask the Lord to give you a generous heart towards others. That’s one of the ways we’re conformed into His image.
