What Do You Really Believe About Money?

What do you believe about money?

Satan uses money to test our beliefs and integrity in large and small ways. If he can gain one victory, he’ll offer greater opportunities to accomplish his work. In John 8, Jesus says, “Satan was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

You see, lies are destructive, but some people compromise truth for financial gain, and they eventually suffer for it. Lies rob our inner peace. They subvert the joy and liberty that come from walking in the truth. They harden our hearts and destroy our souls. Benjamin Franklin said, “A good conscience is a continual Christmas.” But the Bible goes even deeper. Listen to these verses:

Psalm 34:12-14 – Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.”

Proverbs 2:7 – He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,”

Proverbs 10:9 – Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.”

Proverbs 28:6 – Better the poor whose walk is blameless than the rich whose ways are perverse.”
