Trusting God

A friend of mine has a young son who challenged a decision his Father made. My friend stopped and asked him, “son, how old are you? And how old am I? Do you think that, since I’m a LOT older, maybe I have more wisdom than you? I need you to trust that I know what’s best for you…because I’m your dad.”

This is a helpful illustration of our heavenly Father. God’s ways are higher than our ways, even though we don’t always understand them. But it’s hard to trust Him sometimes– Especially with our money. Matthew 7 reminds us that if we know how to care for our own children, then obviously God will care for us even more and even better. After all, He is our Dad!
