The Purpose of Money

What’s the purpose of money? It’s really just used as a means of exchange, something we trade to acquire goods or services, right? But as Christians, money can have a very different purpose.

When we align the purpose of our money with the purpose of our lives, we can use money for way more than paying our mortgage or buying groceries!

Jesus tells us to “…lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven… For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

That means we  have to surrender our hearts and money to the Lord so He can use both for his purposes.

But worry about things like new clothes, house repairs, and debt can make it difficult to remember the true purpose of money.
