The “Money Test”

When you were in school, were you ever surprised by a test you hadn’t prepared for?

I believe God gives each of us a “Money Test.” He advances resources to us and will demand an accounting of how we use them. We’ll answer to whether we used the money he provided for our own interests or His.

The Bible never condemns wealth, but it warns about the dangers of it becoming an idol and denounces behavior in which money is gained through evil means or used for foolish purposes.

The Bible says: One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.

Then, it goes on to say: If then you have not been faithful in the use of unrighteous wealth, who will entrust you with true riches?

Those who pass the “Money Test” are granted long-term rewards defined as the true riches. These are the blessings of living according to God’s financial principles – both the present and eternal rewards for faithfulness to Him. Unlike worldly wealth, true riches can’t be lost, stolen or destroyed. And, they’re worth far more than anything the world offers!

Now That’s motivation to follow God’s financial principles and get ready for the evaluation of your stewardship that is coming.

To let go of the world’s teachings and embrace God’s, simply ask Him to give you the faith you need to trust Him more.  It’s the only way you’ll gain true riches.

Solomon said in Proverbs 10: The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.
