Testimony Tuesday – Budget Coaching Client

God’s financial principles can unite couples!

In Trusting God, Jerry Bridges wrote, “Adversity enhances the teaching of God’s Word and makes it more profitable to us…perseverance is developed in the crucible of adversity and energized by faith…We cannot grow in perseverance until we have learned the lesson of dependence.” One couple discovered the principle of dependence. They didn’t know what to expect when enrolling in Crown’s Budget Coaching Course. They were afraid it would be rigid, requiring them to make drastic changes. Thankfully, they wrote us pleased and surprised with how Biblically based and encouraging the program really is. The lessons aren’t based on shame and defeat, but forward-focused. They learned the importance of recognizing the how and why of their financial circumstance. They discovered how to align their behaviors with Biblical principles. That was motivating and encouraging. They learned that everything is God’s and that they’re stewards of what’s given out of His goodness.

Although they knew this truth, it came to life during the course. They know He wants their praise and reliance for all they have. Practicing that daily has been difficult and humbling, but through the course, they’ve grown closer to the Lord. They’re now on the same page, working toward the same goals. They know that how they manage their money will impact what they can do for His kingdom. I’m grateful for this testimony. Living in dependence on God’s provision helps us grow in perseverance. Our Provider truly deserves all our praise!
