Testimony Tuesday – A Life Transformed in Burundi

God can transform any life, including yours. 

Burundi is a landlocked country in East Africa. It’s a very poor and primarily rural society. Crown partners with an organization there that recently posted a beautiful testimony. A woman’s life was changed forever because of what she learned through the training.

Maria was formerly a drunk. When her husband left her, she lost all hope. So, she lay down to sleep on a road, hoping to get run over by a car. Someone reached out to her and invited her to a training by our long-term friends at Foundations for Farming. It was there she was introduced to Faith, Family, Farming, and Finances. Thanks to the transformative work of Christ, Maria is a new creation. She’s been delivered from alcohol, and her husband is back with her. In her words, she’s given her life to Jesus and is “SO, SO GRATEFUL AND HAPPY!!!”

When I saw her video, I didn’t need a translator to hear the hope and passion in her voice and body language! She’s one of the last, lost, and least who’s been given new life in Christ through the work of Crown across the globe. Every day, people are choosing to walk as faithful stewards thanks to the generosity and work of Crown’s donors, partners, and volunteers. Together, we’re advancing God’s principles of life and stewardship. We share them with the rich and poor, the urban and the rural. We want every person to have the knowledge they need to choose to live faithfully in Christ.
