What are you teaching your children about money?

Children need to understand that God owns everything so they’ll be responsible for what He provides. Teach them to be generous, especially toward the poor. Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35) It’s the greatest possible hedge against materialism. Giving brings joy and prepares them for supporting God’s work in the next generation.

Teach them to work diligently. They’ll learn that work brings glory to God. Finally, help them discover the skills and talents that God’s given them. They will delight and excel at what they do and learn to work as unto the Lord. Excellence combined with humility will equip young people to be the salt and light of the future.
