Stewarding Our Time Well

Time is a gift from God. And how we steward the minutes of our day determines the productivity of our lives!

It is important we learn to steward our time well because distractions are all around us. We watch the news, check the internet, social media, emails, have constant interruptions at the office, attend unproductive meetings, and socialize too long with co-workers. In addition, mind-numbing entertainment robs many from giving their utmost for His highest. Beautiful minds are being polluted with content that warps creativity and destroys productivity.

Concentrated discipline is required to restrain ourselves from the multitude of temptations that sidetrack us. Paul warned the Ephesians, Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:15-16)

The days are evil! We’ve got to protect ourselves! The enemy is doing everything he can to prevent us from fulfilling the purpose for which we were created. We need to be aware of our adversary and guard the hours of each day so that we can steward them wisely!

Every birthday reminds me of Psalm 39:5my days are a few handbreadths! We don’t know how much time we have left here on earth before we will stand before the Lord to give an account of our life.

Would you join me in praying the words of Psalm 90:12? So, teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.

Imagine what God could do through a people eager to serve with hearts of wisdom! How you steward your time will have a direct impact on your finances. So, number your minutes, hours, and days, that you may hear “Well done!”
