Spiritual Warfare
Are you battle-weary?
In Ephesians 6:12, the Apostle Paul said, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” If you’re walking with Christ and seeking to live by His financial principles, you will encounter spiritual warfare. This type of battle happens in your mind and it’s the fight between truth and lies. Satan’s first plan of attack is to weaken your faith in God. He wants you to doubt and believe that God doesn’t care about your finances and He won’t help you, but that’s a lie! So reject it. The enemy will offer alternatives to trusting God possibly involving risky, unethical, or immoral financial actions. Don’t cave in no matter how great the financial pressure.
Satan masquerades as a messenger from God. Should someone come to you “in the name of the Lord,” compare what’s said to the truth of God’s Word. Pray for wisdom and discernment, along with seeking wise counsel before making any actions or quick decisions. Satan offers a false promise of peace and prosperity. Most people desperately desire these things, opening themselves up to deception. So always be on guard! When facing spiritual warfare, submit yourself to the Lord. Humble yourself before Him and seek His help. His Word is a sword and a shield. Resist the devil, he will flee from you.
