I once read that the higher the cost and the lower the attendance at a wedding, the less likely the marriage would work. The lower the cost and the higher the number of guests in attendance, the more likely the marriage would last. My wedding advice? Keep it simple and focus on Christ.

Don’t borrow money. Make a budget and accept help for everything from food and flowers to invitations, music, and photography. Buy the wedding dress off the rack, borrow it, or wear one that’s been in the family. This is a one-day event so keep an eternal perspective. Focus more on preparing for a Godly marriage, strongly rooted in Christ, not just a beautiful wedding.
