Prepare For The Future

The squirrels are preparing for winter on my property.

Squirrels instinctively work hard for the cold months ahead. They remind me of the Proverb that tells us to go to the ant to learn how to prepare and gather for the future. Most people don’t because they haven’t been taught how and why.

Learning to delay gratification can be taught from preschool up. Giving to the Lord first, then saving should become a way of life for children before graduating high school. Consider a person who starts investing at age 25 for only 10 years. If he allows it to grow over time, he’ll have substantially more at age 65, than one who doesn’t start until the age of 35. Just remember the ant…and the squirrels!
