Paramedic Steals Rings

Today is Crazy Money Day, and today’s story is guaranteed to make you shake your head!

Last month a paramedic found herself in big trouble!

She transported a woman to a regional hospital in Hot Springs. The woman was later pronounced dead. When her belongings were given to the family, three of her rings were missing.

Investigators were called in and went to work. Two rings were recovered several days later, but it took longer to find the third.

Guess where they found it. At a pawn shop. It had been sold for $45, but what’s appalling is the fact that it had been cut from the victim’s finger!

Interestingly, the paramedic who stole it didn’t know it’s value, because it appraised for Eight Thousand Dollars!

Now, I’ve had to conclude that this paramedic wasn’t thinking. She was desperate for money and greed propelled her into action.

You see greed tears families apart. It destroys businesses and populates our jails.

Jesus said:

Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions. (Luke 12:15)

Paul added to that by saying:

But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. (Ephesians 5:3)

Now my prayer is that this paramedic repents and surrenders her life to Christ.
