Overspending on Gifts

Apparently Jay-Z and Beyonce threw their daughter a first birthday party that cost upwards of two-hundred thousand dollars. Have you ever felt pressured to spend lots on your kids?

Now, I doubt that you’ve felt like you had to spend the equivalent of a nice house on your children, but nonetheless, there’s a lot of pressure to give our kids what they want!

And it doesn’t help when that one family seems to always have the best for their children.

We should give gifts to others as we are able but God would be more pleased that we give out of love and only what we can afford.

Be generous  in your gift-giving but remember that Time and thoughtfulness can be worth much more, even if they cost much less.
