Overdraft and ATM fees

Americans pay billions of dollars in bank fees and penalties.

A banking error can be expensive. Just because your ATM shows a balance doesn’t mean it’s right. Sometimes checks or transactions simply haven’t cleared. Bankrate.com reports that overdraft fees average $33. That’s why it’s important to keep a current balance.

Now if you overdraw, make a deposit as soon as possible. Then, ask your bank to have the fees reversed. They want to keep your business. Always know your correct balance and keep a buffer for protection. A little attention makes a big difference. Jesus said, “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” (Luke 16:10)
