In Christ, we have the unique advantage of knowing a certain future and the responsibility to orient our lives accordingly. Our job is simply an extension of our primary ministry: to serve God. God  creates and equips us for a place of his choosing and we’ll find fulfillment when we’re finally there.

But, many today work for a paycheck and company benefits, nothing more. They don’t see their work as service to Christ and the world. They are missing the wonderful blessing that comes when your passion and purpose are in alignment.

Most people today strive for more money – they think it will make them happier, more important, or content. But Solomon, the wisest man of the Bible, said, “He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves abundance with its income.”

Regardless of the income, prestige, or security of a vocation, unless it truly merges with God’s will, unrest will persist. Without exception, income is a temporary satisfier.

The world stresses the pursuit of money, and all that can be done with it. But, God calls us to more.
