Knowing Your Child’s Design
Did you know that understanding that your child’s design can actually save you money?
Many college freshmen select majors that don’t match their interests. And, if they decide to change their majors it costs extra time and money!
Students can feel pressured to select a major before they even know what they want to study. Later, the fear of college debt prevents them from changing to a degree that better suits their design.
The solution is to know your children and guide them before they enter college or begin a career so they can apply themselves with passion and excel in areas that interest them. Encourage your students to follow the dreams God has put in their hearts by using their gifts and talents.
Ephesians 2:10 declares, “We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.” Delight in how He made your child!
My friend, Dr. Jeff Myers, President of Summit Ministries, had his son take the Career Direct assessment. Upon completing the questionnaire he received a detailed report of the results. They spent several hours with a certified consultant to learn what it all meant. His son said that he had never been so happy and finally understand how God made him and what to do next.”
Jeff said, “ I would have paid almost any amount to see him so energized! “
Like Jeff, parents who know their son or daughter’s design can come alongside and offer help for long-term career selection.
