Jesus – the Hope of the World

Merry Christmas!

For many, there’s no “Merry” this Christmas. Some are lonely and suffering. Others have lost hope financially, physically, or emotionally. All we have to do is look around us. Can you think of someone in your life who’s hurting or all alone? I want you to call them. Tell them you love them. Perhaps you need to forgive or ask for forgiveness. Who can you thank for the impact that they’ve had in your life? Ask if there’s anything they need. Are you willing to sacrifice some of your time and comfort to minister to them? Perhaps there are people in your home right now who need hope. They’ve sought happiness in the world, but it’s left them without meaning and purpose. If you know the Lord, then you’re indwelt by His Holy Spirit, and you have something marvelous to give. Your words of love and encouragement can bring life and hope to those who have none. Ask the Lord to speak through you into the hearts of the needy.

We celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ today. He’s the Hope of the World! He’s the Bread of Life, our Good Shepherd, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He’s the true Vine, the Resurrection and the Life, the King of kings and Lord of lords. I want you to ponder this truth, then share how He’s transformed your own life. Don’t worry about being eloquent. Truth spoken in love will bring hope to the hopeless.
