It’s More Blessed to Give

Jesus said: “It’s more blessed to give than to receive.

Giving brings me joy. I like living in such a way that I can help others as the Lord leads. Larry Burkett said, “Most Christians are more than content to live out their lives surrounded by the trappings of our world, rather than to risk losing them in becoming a radical Christian – one who will put God first in all decisions even when putting God first is costly.”

Giving does cost something. It creates dependence on the Lord to deny yourself and act in faith. It shows obedience and love for the One who gave Himself to you. Develop an eternal perspective and one day you’ll see and know the true blessing of sacrificial giving.
