Is Retirement Biblical?

Is retirement biblical? God created us to work and work is a good thing, so should there ever come a time when we don’t work?

According to Jeremiah 29:11, God has a good plan and purpose for your entire life. Not just up to age 65.

So I believe that retirement for Christians should mean freeing up time to serve others more fully without necessarily getting paid for it!

Now, you may work a 40-hour work week your whole life. Or you may not! Just remember that your work is unto the Lord, not man. Time is your most precious resource – so don’t waste it!
