How to Control Spending During Holidays

Do you know how much Americans spend on Christmas? Care to take a guess?

Combined, we spend around a trillion dollars on Christmas! That’s a lot of money!

The average consumer this year will spend $967 on gifts alone.  It’s exciting to give and we feel the pressure at times to give our loved ones the best – so it’s easy to go overboard!

Jesus reminds us to store up for ourselves treasures in heaven, not here on earth. So how do we keep our holiday spending under control?

The key is to have a budget. Don’t go shopping without knowing how much you’re going to spend!  

Make a list of all the people you need to buy gifts for, check it twice…and know how much you can spend…. It should be less than a trillion!
