Have You Lost Everything?
Do you think you’ve lost everything?
Financial loss can cause terrible emotional pain. The struggle can lead you to believe that you’ve lost everything, but that’s a lie. The enemy wants to rob you of all hope and joy. He wants to knock you off – one less ambassador for Christ. When one of my boys was young, he asked me if we were rich. We weren’t, but my answer was, “Yes, son, we are rich. Very rich.” We have so much more than money. Now we may lose earthly possessions, but nothing can rob us of the riches we have in Christ. We’re part of the beautiful Body of Christ with brothers and sisters across the globe. You’re never alone, never without God’s comforting Spirit and never without the true riches of all that money cannot buy. He’s “blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” (Ephesians 1:3) “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.” (Ephesians 1:7)
If you’re struggling with loss today, I pray, with the Apostle Paul, “that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:14-21) He’s able to do more than we ask or imagine, so trust Him!
