Facing Financial Fears

What is your greatest financial fear?  Does something immediately pop into your mind?

We all have some big one…that one thought that scares us to death if it were to ever happen to us.  Maybe it is losing your job. For some it may be becoming disabled and incapable of working. For others it may look like bankruptcy or simply making a late mortgage payment.

Maybe your financial nightmare is occurring right now. Are you ready to face your financial fear and get rid of it once and for all?  

Listen to Paul’s advice to Timothy: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”

There are 3 clear lessons here for you and me:

  1. That financial fear you have is not coming from God.  Got that? 
  2. That fear is a Spirit – a demonic force – that is used to keep you in bondage, locked up, paralyzed, captured, enslaved, frustrated, and stuck in worry, doubt and anxiety.
  3. Listen carefully God has given you this: power, love and self-discipline.  

Power – yes, real power. Power from Above to endure the financial pain or trial.

Love – the perfect, unending, love of God. That is what it takes to cast out all fear and don’t miss this one:

Self Discipline – Self Discipline is a spirit from God. This what you need to put the plans in place to overcome the big financial challenge in your mind or the mess on your hands right now.

Power, Love, Self Discipline. Isn’t that beautiful? Say them with me…Power…God’s Power…Love – God’s Unconditional Love…Self Discipline – Not my self discipline but that which comes from HIS Spirit.  So take that fear you have or that financial challenge you have right now and let’s put this verse into action. Ask God to give you HIS POWER to fight the battle – rely on Him to get you through this. Then rest in the LOVE of God to escape that ever present fear.
