Eliminate Financial Fear

What’s your greatest financial fear? Anything pop into your mind?

Now we all have something we fear…that one terrible thought that scares us to death. Maybe it’s losing your job, becoming disabled, going bankrupt, or unable to make a mortgage payment. Maybe you’re living your financial nightmare right now. Want to face your fear and eliminate it once and for all?

The apostle Paul told Timothy: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

Now there are 3 lessons here for us.

First, that financial fear you have is not coming from God.  You got that?

Second, that fear is a demonic force. It’s keeping you in bondage – locked up – frustrated and stuck in worry, doubt, and anxiety.

Listen carefully. Number three: God’s given you power, love, and self-discipline.  

Power. Real power. Power from on High to endure financial pain or trials.

Love. The perfect, unending, love of God…that’s what it takes to cast out fear.

And finally, self-discipline. That’s what you need to put a plan in place to overcome the financial challenge in your mind or the mess you have on your hands right now.

Power, Love, Self Discipline. Isn’t it beautiful? Say them with me:

Power – God’s Power. Love – God’s Unconditional Love. Self-Discipline – not my own, but that which comes from His Spirit.

Now let’s put the verse into action. Ask God to give you His power to fight the battle. Rest in His love to escape the fear. Then make a plan to manage your finances.
