Don’t Worry – Trust God
Do you worry about money?
Many Americans worry about their finances. In fact, I meet people all over the world who also worry. They worry about how to make it, how to keep it, and how to grow it. Worry takes a toll on health, affects relationships and job performance, and solves absolutely nothing. Only by trusting God and following His financial principles will we find the peace we desperately seek.
Replacing worry with truth and action helps us move forward with confidence. So, accept where you are and believe that God is bigger than your circumstances. Decide to live one day at a time in complete dependence on the Lord. Living beneath your means will help you alleviate debt and increase your savings. You can learn to be content with less while watching for the countless ways that the Lord blesses you.
If you’ve made mistakes with money, just admit it. Then, seek forgiveness and restoration with those who’ve been affected. Ask the Lord for wisdom and strength to move forward. Crown’s Money Map can help you take small steps towards living responsibly. Learn to thank God for all He gives you and praise Him for who He is. This will enable you to see things clearly because it gets your eyes off yourself and focused back on Him. Don’t worry! In fact, “…don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
