Crown’s Work with Foundations for Farming

Crown’s impact is global.

We work worldwide helping people improve their income in a variety of ways. For example, we partner with Foundations for Farming in Zimbabwe to help the poor become the world’s best farmers. They train in farming, faith, family and finances. This equips a farmer to grow food for his family, sell the surplus to cover next year’s seed and living expenses, and to give generously to others. Zimbabwe, once the breadbasket of Africa. It has struggled for years to produce enough maize to sustain its people each year.

Following a terrible drought, the Zimbabwe team was asked to train over 1,400 government senior extension officers in the theory and implementation of their farming method.  The extension officers then went into villages to train others, who then trained others, who then trained others. Eventually, more than a million and a half households were trained by planting season. It was a logistics miracle in which God worked through the government leaders. They trained people to do things ‘on time, to a very high standard, without waste, and with joy’. Plots were planted, the rains came and yields exceeded their wildest dreams. God used a drought and a handful of faithful stewards to transform individuals, families and a nation. As Craig Deall says, “God did immeasurably more than we could have ever asked or imagined.” Yes, God uses Crown to impact lives across the U.S. and around the world with proven solutions to help people overcome financial pain.
