Credit Score

I knew a couple with a mountain of credit card debt that they refused to pay off quickly because they didn’t want to ruin their credit score. But I told them that their stewardship score was much more important.

Paying off a lot of debt quickly CAN negatively impact your credit score in some cases. But it’s so much more important to live in the FREEDOM of being out of debt than to have a perfect credit score! First Corinthians tells us “You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings.”

Let me encourage you that if you need to get out of debt, start today. There’s no reason to wait until the right time, or to do it slowly to keep your credit score intact.
