It’s Crazy Money Day! 

There’s a secret corner in the Casino business that recruits super wealthy gamblers nicknamed “whales.” Private terminals and hidden suites await elite guests who spend millions without blinking an eye. They’re lured by the experience – the exclusivity of playing at the highest level.

Resident, a luxury lifestyle magazine, says these high-net-worth individuals routinely wager 6 to 7 figures in one night. Casinos fly them in on private jets, escort them in luxury vehicles, and deliver them to private villas or penthouses. Casinos offer them private, invitation-only accommodations, including chauffeurs and private chefs. Front-row seats to major sporting events or concerts are provided, along with luxury shopping with casino credit. Spa treatments and wellness programs are specifically designed for the super wealthy. It bothers me to hear of millions being spent in frivolous ways. I’ve walked with the poor around the world and seen how the generous are blessed in helping them.

King Solomon, the richest man who ever lived, wrote in Proverbs 28:20, “A faithful person will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished.” Those who faithfully follow God’s principles are promised blessings beyond measure. Those eager to get rich their own way make impulsive decisions without considering the consequences. As children of God, may we be known as people of integrity and generosity, who put their money towards kingdom work, not casinos.
