Crazy Money! –Superyacht Sales Soar

It’s Crazy Money Day!

Trillions of dollars were made during the pandemic. The U.S. now has over 2,700 billionaires, 500 more than before Covid. Many earned their wealth in the stock market and cryptocurrency. Boat International reports that more than a thousand superyachts are in construction or on order. They’re longer than 80 feet and cost from 2 to 500 million dollars depending on design. The largest, delivered last year, was 464 feet long. It has a retractable helicopter hangar, sports and diving centers, 14 boats for use from the yacht, and a submarine! Inventory is sold out for 2022 and most of next year. So, if you’re interested, it may be a few years before you can get yours.

I grew up around boats and have many fond memories, including one uncle who accidentally drove his boat onto the beach! The Apostle Paul was shipwrecked 3 times; a night and a day he was adrift at sea; in danger from rivers, robbers, from his own people, in danger from Gentiles, in the city, in the wilderness, in danger at sea, and from false brothers; in toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure. He fought the good fight, he finished the race, and kept the faith. He knew a crown of righteousness was laid up for him. The Lord will award one to all who have loved his appearing. So, don’t let yachts or crazy money distract you from the hope we have in Christ. Keep your eyes on the true prize!
