Crazy Money! Lost Wallet Returned

It’s Crazy Money Day!

Chris Person lost his wallet outside a Publix grocery store. It held his driver’s license, Covid vaccination card, credit cards, cash, and a gift card. I mean, it was loaded! He searched the area multiple times and his elderly mother even watched surveillance footage with the store manager. It just wasn’t there. The next day, three strangers appeared at his home. You see, 15-year old Lucas Perry found the wallet in the parking lot. So his sister and his father came to hand-deliver it with him. Chris found that nothing was missing. He tried to give them the more than $100 cash inside the wallet, but they wouldn’t accept it. The father wanted his children to be honest and to do the right thing.

We’re all called to act in a similar way. Listen to Titus, chapter 2: Paul wrote, “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.” Chris was able to bless them in a special way the following week. He has three new friends and calls the experience amazing! What a crazy good money story!
