It’s Crazy Money Day! Today’s story is about a parking lot

Foundation for Life bought a parking lot across the street from Toledo, Ohio’s only abortion facility. The lot was bought for half its asking price because the previous owner believed that human life is sacred. Now, sidewalk counselors can legally minister to women who park in that lot. Financial insecurity is a real concern for women facing an unplanned pregnancy. They face three choices: parenting, adoption, or abortion. My desire is that they consider the first two options, but they need emotional support. Healthy relationships grant hope and stability to pregnant women contemplating their future – and that of a child. 

At crown.org we offer hope to the hopeless by providing a variety of online resources and budget coaching. Other organizations, churches, and communities offer help as well. See where you can get involved. You may not be able to buy a parking lot, but you can help in other ways. Offer your skills and resources to your church or a pregnancy resource center. Ask the Lord for insight and recruit the help of others. Many simply just need to be asked. Show women how to create a budget, how to cut expenses, how to earn an income. Temporary housing, education, and medical care will reduce fear and grant dignity. You can impact women and babies for eternity.  Remember, “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due when it is in your power to act.” (Proverbs 3:27) God works through willing hearts. Let’s make a difference by saving lives.
