Last year, the top-earning musicians were Taylor Swift at $185 million, Kanye West at $150, and Ed Sheeran at $110. Ever heard of Fanny Crosby, the blind hymn writer? She didn’t earn much money but wrote 8,000 poems that were set to music. Maybe you’d recognize To God Be the Glory, Tell Me the Story of Jesus, and Blessed Assurance. Fanny never saw herself as a victim but as God’s handiwork. Until her death at 94, she worked with the poor in the slums of New York. Despite a disability, she thrived in the unexpected! Let the same be said of us!
