Crazy Money! Bible Sales Are Up!
It’s Crazy Money Day!
We’re living in a time of economic uncertainty, rising debt, and financial anxiety. People are looking for hope, for Truth, and for community. In their search, many are turning to God’s Word. Bible sales are actually climbing, and a quiet revival is happening. In fact, Bible sales have been rising since 2021, hitting record highs last year in both the U.S. and the UK.
We shouldn’t be surprised. When markets shake and prices rise, we’re reminded how fragile financial systems can be, but “the word of our God endures forever.” (Isaiah 40:8) It doesn’t fluctuate with inflation or interest rates. It stands firm despite stock market volatility and trade wars. When people read the Bible, they discover how much Jesus talked about money. God gave us financial principles that are timeless: live within your means, avoid the bondage of debt, give generously, save diligently, work faithfully, and trust God completely. Renewed interest in the Bible may be a sign that people want true security. They’re seeking answers and wisdom that will really lasts.
If you’re feeling uncertain about your finances, start where many others are: in God’s Word. Ask Him for wisdom. Make financial decisions based on His principles. They were given for your protection and blessing! Economies change, but God’s Word stands forever. As the prophet Isaiah wrote: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.” (Isaiah 26:3-4) Economies will change, but God’s Word stands forever.
