Crazy Money! Art Museum Incident

It’s Crazy Money Day!

A couple visiting a museum in Italy decided to pose for a photo. Each chose to act as if they were sitting on a work of art inspired by Van Gogh’s painting of a chair. The man stumbled while trying to sit and broke the chair into pieces. It was made of crystals and valued at around $46,000. That’s crazy!

It has since been repaired and returned to display. However, the incident was caught on camera. Unfortunately, the tourists did not tell officials. Now that was a mistake. The museum described it as “a cultural institution’s worst nightmare.” What upset the museum director most was that the couple just left. Surveillance footage clearly shows a man and woman taking turns pretending to sit on the chair. The man appears to slip and fall onto it chair, which broke its seat and two front legs. The woman helps him up, and they scurry out of the room. The museum director told the BBC, “Of course it was an accident, but these 2 people left without speaking to us – that isn’t an accident.” They just walked away as if they would never be identified. Well, it was reported to police.

Now this is a good reminder that nothing can be hidden from God. Proverbs 15:3 makes it clear: “The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.” We may think we can get away with anything, but He sees our coming and going. If you’ve been hiding your financial woes, God already knows all about it. Confess it to him and seek help. Stop hiding and start a plan to get free!
