It’s Crazy Money Day! 

For years, we’ve heard that artificial intelligence is coming for our jobs, but what if AI also creates entirely new opportunities? Meta announced a $115 million investment in America’s Workforce Academy. It’s a free training program preparing people for careers such as electricians, welders, plumbers, fiber technicians, and other skilled trades. Graduates are even guaranteed a job helping build their data centers.

OpenAI has highlighted the growing demand for skilled trades as America expands the infrastructure needed to support this new technology. There’s a demand for those who can build, wire, cool, and maintain their facilities. It’s an important reminder that while technology changes, the value of honest hard work never does. Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”

Every vocation can honor the Lord when done with excellence and integrity. The future of work looks different than the past, but we don’t have to fear. College degrees remain valuable, but they’re not the only path to a meaningful career. Skilled trades are increasingly important, offering opportunities for stable employment and valuable service to society.
