Church Pays School Lunch Debt

It’s Crazy Money Day!

One church in Ohio challenged its congregation to cover children’s lunch debt in two neighboring school districts. It came to $14,000. In just four days, members gave enough to pay off the debt in ten districts! Pastor Steve Southards said, “Generosity is contagious. People want to be a part in ways that bless other people.”

The Bible says: “…God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (2 Corinthians 9:7-8)

We can only imagine the impact that giving will have in that community. When we give as the Lord directs, we are blessed with great joy.
