Biblical Solutions for Financial Anxiety

Are you suffering from financial anxiety?

We have so much to be thankful for. Yet, many are blinded by the worries of this world. The solution is to follow God’s financial principles and do your part in preparing as He directs. Don’t depend on the government for your financial security. Don’t place your identity in a job or company, and don’t spend more than you earn. Instead, choose to make necessary sacrifices now to get your house in order. Direct any spun-up emotion into productive activities so you can “laugh at the days to come,” like it says in Proverbs 31:25. With your confidence placed in the Lord, you can ask Him for financial wisdom to protect your home and business.

Now, here are several steps you can take every day. First, pray in faith, then place your dependence on Him by walking in His Spirit. Choose to suffer well by giving thanks in all things. We know God works all things together for good for those who love him, and are called according to his purpose. Finally, prepare to defend your faith. Others need the encouragement and strength we have in Christ.

So, rest your mind. God will give each of us problems that money can’t solve, but He’ll also give each of us riches that money can’t buy. We can be anxious about our problems, or we can be joyful about all that He’s given us, even when we’re suffering. Isaiah 26:3 says, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” I hope you’ll it!
