Suing Non-Christians
by Larry Burkett

We know from reading Paul’s writings to the Corinthians that we are not to sue Christians, but what about non-Christians? The Bible is not quite as specific, but just because God didn’t make it a “thou shalt not,” that doesn’t mean you should sue non-Christians.

The Scripture verse for today is a strong statement about how we are to treat other people.

I’m not saying that you have to let people take things away from you that belong to God or that you should loan them things and never try to recover them. But there are ways to recapture things without taking someone to court.

God is quite competent to protect His own business and His own people.

I know of instances in which a person was saved because of the actions of a Christian not being willing to sue a non-Christian.

However, this means giving up our “rights” rather than pursuing vengeance.

Only God can tell you what is right for you to do in any given situation. Pray fervently.
