Quick Fixes
by Chuck Bentley

Often, people in financial trouble want a quick solution to a deep problem. If God doesn’t miraculously rescue them, they become impatient and make more foolish decisions.

They’ll pay lip service to God but then do things their own way. That type of behavior leads to disaster.

The world offers a number of quick fixes for financial problems: credit repair, debt reduction plans, payday loans, and easy refinancing terms. But we often hear from people who were disappointed by quick fix solutions because they ended up in worse shape than when they started.

The world is determined to forget God and be its own savior. As a result, it views the Bible as impractical. But the Bible is the most practical book ever written because God’s ways are proven and effective.

Patiently seeking God’s wisdom in times of need, as well as living by His financial principles, leads to a life of wisdom, discipline, productivity, and integrity. The end results of these things are blessings for you and for others.

Avoid quick fixes and wait patiently on the Lord, and the end of the matter will be better than the beginning.
