GIF God Is Faithful

“God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord”
(1 Corinthians 1:9)

God Is Faithful
by Larry Burkett

Through my suffering I have learned one thing for sure: God is a faithful God. He also is a forgiving God who will forgive anything and everything on the basis of the sacrifice of His Son, the Lord Jesus.

In contrast, He forgives nothing, no matter how small the offense, on the basis of how good we are or how acceptable we are or whether we have more positives than negatives in our lives.

God is merciful. He cares about your suffering, whether it is mental, physical, emotional, or spiritual.

My favorite Bible character, in regard to suffering, is King David, who suffered a lot in his life. He suffered at the hands of a maniacal King Saul and ran for his life with Saul in hot pursuit. Yet God protected David because He still had plans for his life.

Yes, David did die – as all flesh must. Bear in mind, though, that no one can remove us one second before God decides it’s our time.

God has plans that are at work in your life. He hasn’t completed His work in you, so be sure you are putting Him first in your life and seeking His will for you.

Father, I read in Lamentations 3:22-23 that Your lovingkindness never ceases and Your compassion never fails but is new every morning. Thank You, Father.
