GIF Failing Gracefully

“Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.”

Failing Gracefully
by Larry Burkett

There are many Christians who are “graceful failures.” They don’t demand anything of God and, in fact, expect nothing. Usually, they get what they expect: nothing. Many people accept failure as God’s will when it isn’t.

The Scripture says God wants to bless us and wants us to ask of Him. We must believe that God wants to bless us.

And, until God individually convicts someone that His plan is otherwise, we are not to accept failure. If you believe you should accept failure, you should read Christ’s parables in Luke 11:5-13 and Luke 18:1-8. One of God’s principles is persistence in the face of discouragement.

Satan wants you to fail. He will plant a dark thought in your mind and then “fertilize” it daily. But you don’t have to listen to him. God’s Word says plainly to resist Satan and his tricks. The Bible is full of encouragement.

Do you trust God, or do you just say you trust God?
