“Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.”
(Philippians 2:8)

Conversion
by Larry Burkett

At the heart of the Gospel is Christ’s atonement and resurrection. Jesus came to earth for one purpose: to die for our sins.

When we were created, God gave us the ability to make choices. One of those choices is whether or not to become a Christian.

I’ve been a Christian since age 32, but I have several members of my family who are unsaved. I don’t have a great many unsaved friends anymore. Those that have been around me for a long period of time either accepted the Lord or moved on.

It’s a fine balance that we walk sometimes, between sharing Christ and being obnoxious. Others must see consistency in our lives as we live for the Lord. That is what will attract them.

When I’m with the unsaved members of my family I don’t hesitate to talk about the Lord—just as I would around my Christian family members. We are called to give an account for our faith. I’m believing God for the salvation of those who are unsaved.

If you have a close friend or family member who is not a believer, you are responsible to share the message: “By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8). So, you should share your gift.

The Bible asks, How will they hear unless someone tells them? Think of those you know who are unsaved and make it a practice to pray regularly for their salvation.
