GIF Contentment

“Godliness actually is a means of great gain, when accompanied by contentment . . . If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content”
(1 Timothy 6:6-8)

Contentment
by Larry Burkett

Contentment does not mean complacency. Complacency means that I have a problem that I could change, but I don’t put forth the effort.

Contentment means that I know that I’m in the center of God’s will. I change the things I can. The things I can’t change I am willing to accept and be content with because I know the One who is in control.

The secret of a happy life is to learn how to deal with both the good times and the bad and, like the apostle Paul, to know how to be content with either.

If anything is standing between you and contentment, pray about that right now and turn it over to the Lord.
