Being Exceptional at Work

The quality of your work is the tangible expression of the invisible reality that the power of God is at work in your heart.

When it comes to work, God wants you to put your whole effort to the task. So, be the exceptional worker God made you to be by following these steps.

1. Have a “Yes” attitude. A cheerful attitude in your work can reduce the friction in your office, with your customers, and at home.
2. Willingly take on the difficult aspects of your job along with the desirable. Your willingness to accept responsibility for the difficult tasks—those that involve problems and challenges—will set you apart and allow you to make the most difference. Through these assignments, you will experience your human limitations and the need to rely on God’s strength. You will discover that He is able to do more than you could ever ask or imagine.
3. Don’t determine your best effort according to standards of perfection. Only God is perfect, but that doesn’t mean you should settle for mediocrity. Instead, press on to achieve excellence. Vince Lombardi said, “Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.”
