Declare War on Stress
How do you handle stress?
Every believer has the responsibility of wisely managing resources. It’s tough with inflation, economic uncertainty, and business or personal challenges. The responsibility can create serious stress, even despair. We handle financial challenges in a variety of ways, and here are some examples:
Sometimes we stress out. That’s when we succumb to fear or anxiety and enter the doom loop. We lose hope, become exhausted, and want to give up. Other times, we drop out. This is an attempt to deny the problem by ignoring it. Rather than face the problem, we hope it goes away.
Other times, we fake out. That’s pretending all is well by masking the stress with other activities. Instead of addressing the real issue, we engage in endless scrolling, mindless games, binge-watching movies, and addictions. Finally, we cry out. That’s when we recognize the problem is bigger than we can handle and invite the Lord to help us. When we cast our cares upon Him, we acknowledge we are weak and in need.
You can learn to confront financial challenges with confidence by declaring war and not giving up! Refuse to allow the enemy to accuse, shame, or remind you of failure. Attacks will come when you’re weak and vulnerable or proud and ungrateful. Replace Satan’s lies with truth! Christ, the Victor, is on your side, and you can trust Him.
