Testimony Tuesday – African Money Map in Kenya
The Crown Money Map is reaching people who are suffering.
Mercy’s Light Family is an Alliance Partner located in Kenya. It advocates for the hurting and the lost, focusing on healing those who’ve had sexual trauma. They help move orphans, widows, and young women from abuse, desperation, and abject poverty to self-sufficiency. Through discipleship, education, and small business creation, they see major change in 3 years or less. Mercy’s Light operates in Kenya’s coastal regions, in a community identified by the Joshua Project as an unreached people group for the gospel.
One in three girls becomes pregnant before the age of 18, trapping many in a cycle of extreme poverty. Their center is a safe place for young women who’ve been kicked out of homes and families when they get pregnant. Their mission is to see the love of Christ transform their lives. They are a light in the darkness of spiritual, educational, and financial poverty, bringing the Gospel to those who haven’t had a chance to hear it.
Carrie, the founder, traveled to Kenya in October to introduce Crown’s African Money Map to their team and include it in their curriculum. The Map was a collaborative effort of a group of people living in Africa who desire to see their people become financially free! Based on Crown’s Money Map, it outlines the timeless principles of God’s Word in the story of a man named Henry. Through the obstacles and challenges of this fictional character, Biblical financial lessons are taught in a fun and engaging manner. Please pray that the Map will bring hope to Mercy’s Light.
