Testimony Tuesday – Crown for the Deaf in Poland

Crown’s material is being used around the world. 

In Poland, about 50,000 people are completely deaf. 100,000 people speak Polish Sign Language. For them, spoken and written Polish is a foreign language. The father of a child born deaf was participating in a Crown course when he stumbled upon a Ministry for the deaf and blind. “Could the deaf community benefit from this teaching?” he thought. That thought motivated him to register for a Crown leader’s course. A willing volunteer eagerly committed and translated the course into the Polish Sign Language. Six students enrolled and met twice a month. They engaged, asked questions, and shared experiences. They had a WhatsApp group where a daily Bible verse was given in sign language, followed by a question. Lives were deeply impacted. A profound and moving moment occurred when they surrendered the ownership of their lives, possessions, and decisions to God at the Lord’s Supper.

One participant signed the following message: “We discovered that managing finances is just the beginning – it’s about managing life as a whole. Crown is not just a crown; it’s God’s plan for our financial lives. You don’t need to hear. You just need to feel, understand, and trust God. Even if you open a wallet and find nothing, trust in God. Thank you for this course, for opening our eyes and hearts, for showing us, the deaf, how to become stewards God’s way. I know that we’re the first but not the last group of deaf participants.
