Financial Priorities

What’s your main financial priority?

The Shorter Catechism says “The chief end of man is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever”. One way to glorify God is through financial decisions. In  1 Corinthians 10:31, the apostle Paul tells us:  “Whatever you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

So when working, giving and spending, simply ask yourself, “Is God glorified in this?” Or when saving and investing, ask yourself “Is God glorified in this?” If we don’t consider whether our actions glorify God, we’re likely to use money to glorify ourselves. Remember: give first, save second.
